St. Sebastian Medal — Sterling Silver | Patron Saint of Athletes & Soldiers | Personalized Engraving | Sports Gift | Military Gift

For everyone who gets back up.

Sebastian was a captain in the Roman Emperor Diocletian's own Praetorian Guard — trusted, decorated, and secretly a Christian.

While serving in the army he quietly encouraged his fellow soldiers in their faith, converted many, and performed acts of love and charity for those facing martyrdom. When his faith was discovered, Diocletian was furious. He ordered Sebastian tied to a post and shot with arrows until dead.

He did not die.

A Christian woman named Irene found him among the bodies, still breathing, and nursed him back to health. When Sebastian had recovered his strength — most men would have fled — he went straight back to the emperor and confronted him face to face over his cruelty to Christians. He was martyred for his defiance, but his courage had already left its mark on everyone who witnessed it.

He is venerated as the Patron Saint of Athletes, Soldiers and those who serve in law enforcement — not because he played sport or carried a weapon, but because of something far greater. The physical endurance, the refusal to yield, the getting back up when every reason said stay down. The courage to go back and face what nearly destroyed you.

Saint Sebastian, pray for us.

This sterling silver oval medal carries his image on the front — Saint Sebastian bound to a tree, the words Saint Sebastian Pray For Us encircling the pendant. The back can be engraved with a name, a date, or a word of encouragement — making this a deeply personal gift for the athlete, the soldier, the officer, or anyone whose life demands that particular kind of courage.

What to engrave: A name. A date. A single word — Courage. Endure. Rise. Strong. Up to 8 characters per line, three lines available.

For the athlete before the season. The soldier before deployment. The officer heading to work. The competitor who needs reminding that getting back up is the whole game.
