St Lucy Medal — Sterling Silver | Patron Saint of the Blind | Gift for Advent, Christmas & Confirmation

Her names means "Light." Lucy carried light into the darkness and kept the flame bravely burning. Martyred for the faith, her eyes were cruelly gouged out. God miraculously restored her sight to her before her death.

This beautifully detailed oval medal features a raised profile of Saint Lucy on the front, holding a dish bearing two eyes — the symbol of her sacrifice and her gift of sight — and a palm branch, the ancient sign of martyrdom and victory over evil. Around the medal, the words Saint Lucy Pray For Us. One of only eight women commemorated in the Canon of the Mass, she is a saint of extraordinary courage.

Her feast day falls on December 13th, in the heart of Advent — a gift of light for the darkest weeks of the year.
